My career as a software developer and then sales and marketing director for a small software company with global reach gave me opportunities to travel extensively in Asia, Europe and South America. Working with our global sales representatives had the added benefit of having local "tour guides", showing me their cities and inviting me into their homes. While I have always loved to travel, these experiences have encouraged me to try and immerse in the local culture and cuisine on my personal trips.

Favorite Destination and Why: Somewhere I haven’t been. I have been fortunate to have travelled to so many incredible destinations and would love to return to all of them, but I am always looking for what is over the next horizon. Seeing new wonders and tasting new cuisines have always been my favorite part of travel.

Areas of Specialty: Asia, especially China, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia

My Travel Style Is: Definitely cuisine-focused. I love to eat like a local as much as possible.

Languages: English only, but I know a little French and Spanish and enough Mandarin to get me in trouble.

Fun Facts About Me: 

I love to cook and make a really good gumbo.

Most of my career has been in software development, so this is quite a change!

I was an original member of New Orleans' all-male dance team, the 610 Stompers, and have danced in many parades including twice in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
